Backstory : Silk
Silk is a comic character in the Spiderman Multiverse. Cindy Moon a korean american girl bit by a radioactive spider, just like our beloved main character Peter Parker. She chose her superhero name Silk after making her own suit out of her silk webs.
She proudly wears her initial “S” on her chest and her colors are quite minimalistic : black, white and red accents.
I first cosplayed Silk in summer 2023, and to this day, she still remains in my top 3 favorite cosplays to wear out.
Even if young kids don’t exactly recognize the character, the immediately know it’s a spider person and get super happy ! I love seeing the excitement in their faces 🙂
At times, their parents would ask them if they would like a picture with me, and they would come close and do the spidey hand pose, it warms my heart !!
